Make An Apron: Sewing Skills
About this Workshop:
Get covered up in colour and sewing confidence! This is a great workshop for building on your basic sewing skills and will give you lots more confidence for making your lovely projects for your home.
Learn how to make a half apron for yourself or as unique present. This is the type of apron that ties around the waist. Adapt the pattern to your taste and use an array of funky colours and patterns to brighten up your kitchen chores. Add your own unique touches such as pockets with bound or piped edges.
Our experienced textiles teacher Helen will guide you through each step of the process and help you to advance your sewing skills. You will learn how to cut the material to the specific pattern, use the machine to hem the project, add pockets, add binding/ piping to seal the edges and add adornments such as decorative buttons.
All materials are included but you can bring your own fabric if you have something particular in mind.
Enjoy your morning and leave with much more than an apron under your arm!
