Roman Blinds Workshop

About this Workshop:
Roman blinds are those familiar fabric blinds that use string to draw up in pleats. Have you ever fancied a new pair in your home and then found yourself saying "How much?!". Save money by learning to create your own.

On this one day course you will learn how to measure your window, cut and sew your fabric into shape and add the fastenings, finishing’s and strings to your project. You will leave will a fully assembled miniature sample blind which you can use to help you recreate your own blinds for years to come.

The course will be tutored by June Wyatt. She is from Sheffield and has over 40 years experience with the soft furnishings industry. She has worked at established local soft furnishings firms throughout her career including Rackhams, Stokes Interiors and John Lewis. She has run her own successful business creating curtains, cushions, pelmets, loose covers, swags and tails, tiebacks and more.

Along with a City and Guilds Introduction to Teaching, June has the knowledge and expertise to guide you through the step by step process to produce your own creations for the home.

All materials and full handouts are included in the price of the workshop.
