Make Your Own Tie
About this Workshop:
Whether you are creating just in time for Fatherís Day (21st June 2015) or just want to learn to make ties for any occasion and to match any outfit, this workshop is for you! You will receive the reusable pattern, learn to cut the cloth on the bias, learn how to pin and sew the tie so that it is fully lined and add a tie keeper to the back giving a professional finish. Optionally, add a personal appliqued symbol or initial on the back of the lining to make a unique and personal gift.
Teenagers are welcome along with more mature crafters for this workshop. Basic sewing skills are preferable but we will cover basic machine skills if you have not used a machine before. Only enthusiasm is essential!
All materials will be provided on the day but many of you may want to bring specific material for the tie, especially if you have a specific person in mind.
